What is TAW?
Tampa Armature Works or TAW, Inc. is a leading provider of electrical and mechanical repair services, technical solutions, and new equipment to customers across the Americas.

Account & Registration

How to register for an account:
To access TAW E-commerce, you must request an account by following the “New User Registration” link on the login screen. You may also call or email us at eHelp@tawinc.com. Please allow up to two business days for TAW to process the request. The default user ID is the customer's email address.

Who is eligible for a TAW E-commerce account?
TAW's existing customers and other qualified purchasers upon request and approval of an e-commerce account. The e-commerce site is only open to business-to-business sales at this time.

What are the password requirements?
The password must be at least six characters in length, contain at least one uppercase letter, include at least one lowercase letter, and contain at least one number.

How to reset a password:
On the login screen, select the prompt "Forgot My Password" and enter your email address. A temporary password will be sent via email.

How to change login credentials and other account information:
After logging in, navigate to My Account -> Login Credentials to modify your email (username) or password. Addresses and payment methods may also be changed under Account Settings.

Can members of the same company share payment methods and view each other's order history?
Yes, this functionality can be managed via a main user account. Sub-accounts may be created for additional users within the same company.

Products

What products are sold online?
TAW E-commerce sells motors, drives, and generator parts. We do not sell generators online. If you wish to order generators as a member of our Kohler dealer network, please contact TAW at 855-866-3913 (ext. 2) or GeneratorSupport@tawinc.com.

Does TAW list all of its inventory online?
TAW sells additional products that are not currently listed online. If you do not see the item you are looking for, please contact us to inquire.

What does "Stock Status" mean?
Stock Status indicates whether the product is currently in TAW's warehouse ("In Stock") or whether it will be ordered and shipped from our vendor.

Customer specific pricing:
If you have customer specific pricing under a Trade Agreement, your prices will appear after you log in.

Can modified or customized products be purchased online?
TAW only sells stock products online. To request a customized product, please call or email motorsupport@tawinc.com or generatorsupport@tawinc.com.

Orders

Where may existing orders be located?
Navigate to My Account -> Orders to view and search order history.

Where can I view the status of my order?
The status of each order may be found under My Account -> Orders.

Can an order be modified or canceled after it is placed it online?
Depending on when the order was received, it may be modified or canceled. Please call TAW as soon as possible at 855-866-3913 (ext. 1 for motor customers; ext. 2 for generator customers). You may also email TAW at motorsupport@tawinc.com or generatorsupport@tawinc.com.

Can orders be placed on smartphones or tablets?
Yes, both devices may be used to make purchases.

Shipping & Delivery

Where does TAW ship?
TAW E-commerce ships to all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. We do not ship e-commerce orders internationally at the present time, but international customers are encouraged to call us to place orders.

Does TAW ship to P.O. Boxes?
TAW does not ship to P.O. Boxes.

What shipping methods are available?
You may choose from several FedEx delivery options, ship via LTL, or pick up your product at one of our Tampa, Florida locations. If your purchase must be shipped via a method other than the one selected at checkout, a sales representative will contact you. Products over 150 pounds must be shipped via LTL. Local clients may have access to alternate delivery options if established by prior agreements.

Can orders be picked up from a TAW location?
Orders may be picked up from one of our two Tampa, Florida locations. Generator parts may be picked up from our headquarters at 6312 78th Street, Riverview, FL 33578. Motors and drives may be picked up from the TAW Service Center at 440 S. 78th Street, Tampa, FL 33619. Please check in at the lobby before heading to Shipping & Receiving.

How are LTL shipping costs calculated?
LTL shipping costs are based on the product's weight. Products over 150 pounds must be shipped via LTL.

Can I ship to multiple addresses?
Yes, you can specify the addresses that you would like your products to be shipped at checkout and on a product-by-product basis.

Where can I locate my tracking number?
Tracking numbers for FedEx shipments can be found on shipping confirmation emails. If your order was shipped via LTL, you may call or email us to receive your tracking number.

Confirmation emails:
You will receive confirmation emails after the item has been ordered and after it was shipped. If you do not receive an order confirmation email, please call us or email eHelp@tawinc.com. Also, please check your spam folder.

Payments

What payment methods are accepted?
TAW E-commerce accepts credit cards (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover), ACH, and Terms.

What currencies are accepted?
Sales are in United States Dollars (USD) only.

When will I be charged for my order?
With the exception of Terms customers, you will be charged when the product ships. If products in the same order are shipped at different times, you will only be charged for part of the order as it is shipped.

Returns Policy

TAW's Return Policy:
Tampa Armature Works, Inc. (TAW) is committed to customer satisfaction. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase or if the item is defective, TAW will cover the cost of the return shipping. In all other cases, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and may choose a carrier to return the item. Returned item(s) must be in the original packaging and include manuals, warranty cards, and invoices. Electrical components are only returnable if they are in the original, unopened packages. Parts that have been discontinued, installed, and/or removed are not returnable. TAW does not accept any returns after sixty (60) calendar days from the ship date. If the item is returned within sixty (60) calendar days and if the item is currently a stock item within TAW’s inventory, there will be a 15% restocking fee. However, if the item is not stocked by TAW and we can obtain factory authorization to return the item, TAW will charge a 30% restocking fee, excluding any freight charges. If the item is not currently in stock, the 30% restocking fee applies even if the item is returned prior to sixty (60) calendar days from the ship date. Terms of an alliance or contractual agreement in place may supersede these policies where applicable as determined by TAW or as agreed to by TAW and the client in writing prior to the e-commerce transaction. If your item was damaged during shipping, you are required to contact TAW within two (2) business days of the delivery date. TAW will work with you to resolve the issue.

How may I request a return?
To initiate a return, please contact TAW via email at MotorSupport@tawinc.com or 855-866-3913 (ext. 1) if you are a motors and drives customer. Please contact TAW at GeneratorSupport@tawinc.com or 855-866-3913 (ext. 2) if you are a generator parts customer. TAW will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization [RMA] number that must be included with the return shipment of your item. After TAW has received the returned item and completed an inspection of the merchandise, TAW will provide you with a refund or credit, depending on payment method and terms. TAW will provide a return email confirmation for your records. Please note that, because returns are processed offline, the purchase will still appear in your Order History.

Privacy

What measures are taken to protect the privacy and security of customers' personal information?
The shop.tawinc.com site is PCI compliant.

How can I manage my email preferences?
Email preferences may be managed under My Account -> Preferences. It is not possible to opt out of some email types such as confirmation emails.

What hours is TAW open?
